Kendal College supports more than 1,000 employers with recruitment, business development, and growth.
The college provides opportunities to overcome business challenges through bespoke training, apprenticeships, and work placements.
Today, Kendal college delivers training to around 1,000 apprentices who are in paid employment, giving them the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to support them in a new or existing role. Furthermore, the college has over 100 adults completing a degree-level programme and almost 900 adults studying a part-time course.
2021 saw 2,200 adults aged 18 to 82 study with Kendal College.
Training is delivered from entry-level to Level 7 across a wide range of industry areas including: agriculture, health and social care, professional business services, manufacturing, hospitality, and more.
A new £4 million Construction and Engineering Centre will open to T-Level students in September 2022.
T-Levels are a new qualification, equivalent to three A-Levels, for students aged 16 to 19.
These two-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to meet industry needs and prepare students for the world of work or for higher levels of study.
T-Levels include an in-depth industry placement that lasts at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days). As such, students spend 80 per cent of their course in college and 20 per cent in a meaningful work placement where they can really put their skills into action.
In separate developments, Kendal College, ranked No.1 in the 2019 FE Week league table, has recently installed new hybrid and electrical automotive workshops and hopes to open a newly refurbished animal rescue centre in September 2022.
