A programme of 16-week Skills Bootcamps have been launched to help you gain the in-demand skills employers are looking for and fast-track to a job interview.

The bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone to gain skills for life.

Lakes College has launched Level 3 bootcamps in welding, computer aided design, cyber essentials and robotics, and a Level 2 bootcamp in construction trades (joinery and brickwork).

The training is free if you are aged over 19, a resident and legally entitled to work in the UK, and are either working, recently unemployed in the last 12 months or looking for work e.g. coming back into the workforce after a career break.

Our partnership with Kendal College has been in place now for around five years. Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for students and also provide a great opportunity to earn money while you're learning and really kickstart your career.
