Hands over construction plans with yellow helmet and drawing tools

THE Construction Industry Training Board’s skills and training fund has now opened up to employers with no directly employed staff to apply for up to £2,500 for training and upskilling.

The fund is intended to help fund medium, small and micro construction companies to deliver development and learning for employees.

Businesses that have no direct PAYE employees (but do have subcontractors) can now apply for up to £2,500 in funding.

You can apply once every 12 months if: you are a CITB-registered employer; you have up to 99 directly employed staff on the payroll (employees must be in addition to yourself/business owner); any previous project paid for by the skills and training fund has been signed off as complete.

Funding is related to how many direct employees you have.
